Unique Cuff Bracelet by Jewellery Artist Pavel Krbalek in 22 Karat Yellow gold

CHF10,800
Out of stock
This sculptural bracelet by Pavel Krbalek captivates with its generously curved lines and the luminous 22 karat gold of intense rich colour.
Visually, it looks as if three ribbons are crossing. In fact, it is a single carefully hammered gold band that has been cleverly formed into several loops. A unique sculpture that gently embraces the wrist and opens the space towards the outside!
Handcrafted in 22 karat yellow gold.

Pavel Krbalek was born in 1928 in Miroslav and grew up partly in Vienna. Trained as a blacksmith, he took over the family business in the seventh generation, studied sculpture in Brno and lived in Prague and Berlin. In 1968 he was invited to be a guest lecturer at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich and eventually stayed in Switzerland. While he mainly created sculptures in iron in the Czech Republic, he worked on a smaller scale with precious metals in Switzerland.
Krbalek is best known for his hammer-worked jewellery, which he also sculpted directly on the skin of the respective wearer. For this reason, all his objects are unique. According to Krbalek, each piece of jewellery should not only adorn a woman, but also distinguish and honour her.

Krbalek received the Rodin Prize for realistic art and the Henry Moore Prize for abstract sculpture in the early 1990s.
